Breathe Sticker One

Living in San Francisco means my days are constantly in transition from one experience to the next. Instead of finding time to sit in a quiet room for long periods of time and meditate, I try to meditate throughout the daily experience.

Meditation is awareness. Bringing attention to the breath helps me become less reactive in stressful situations and makes enjoyable experiences even more pleasurable. Whether I am checking email, stuck in traffic, having a nice meal, or balancing rocks, It’s important for me to pause for a moment and remember to breathe. This too shall pass.

Currently I have these stickers placed on “mindful objects” such as my front door, bedroom mirror, car dash, phone, and laptop — all places that I need to remember to take a mindful breath.

I originally made these just for my own personal use. Based on many people asking about them, I’ve decided to offer them to the public. I hope these stickers serve you well.

Why I speak about rock balancing

As my journey continues, the challenge I face is how to balance ego with vision.

It seems that to spread an idea of inspiration I need to spread awareness of myself as an artist. I need to say “look at me and the art I have created!” in a way that actually makes you look at yourself.

When I speak in front of others about rock balancing, it’s not about me. It’s about YOU. I present a moment of possibility. A moment of safety from the negative scripts we constantly tell ourselves. Doubt is just an illusion and I want to free you from it.

Attention is the asset for change and with it I can become a catalyst for growth in myself and others. I see the world in so much self-inflicted pain. I will spend the rest of my life showing others how to release doubt and step into opportunity.

If this means I need to step in front of thousands of people and tell them that their greatest critic is themselves, then it’s what I must do in order to create a positive future. I can no longer feed myself fear and must start living in humble confidence.

The art of rock balancing shows me what I believe when facing the challenge. I’ll never make a rock balance with doubtful thoughts, as I must fully believe in myself in order to create something amazing.

Whether you are a CEO or an elementary school student, it doesn’t matter to me. Your religion and skin color mean nothing to me. What matters is that you are living an authentic life of happiness and it doesn’t require manipulating others to get it.

The world is an abundant place and if there’s just one thing I can leave you with, it’s that YOU DESERVE GREATNESS. Let’s take this moment and go do some great things with it.

EMPATHY (156)

I care about you. The real you. The parts that you think no one could ever care about. You are a wonderful gift to us all and I will do my best in this moment to fully appreciate what you bring to our world. I humbly ask that you do the same for me.

Discovery Through Failure

Every failure is a test to see how much you truly believe in your vision. Reframe failure to be a discovery process and watch how you begin to become more compassionate with yourself. Positive energy surrounds us when we let go of the fear of failure.

FAITH (Edition 139)

One of the hardest things in life is to build faith. When I say faith I mean the complete trust in a person or idea. This is easy in theory, but in reality this is extremely difficult.

Things can go wrong. Emotions can flare up. Your faith will be tested. The real question is how do you continue to have faith after things have fallen apart?

My personal experience has taught me that every dark door I have been through has led to an even brighter light. My faith is that if you live with good energy then good energy will eventually come back to you.

The future is an illusion. All that exists is this moment and the faith you have to carry you through it.

INTENTION

Edition 138

ABOUT INTENTION (138) At the heart of every action we take is desire. What drives that desire can be split into two energy sources: expectation or intention.

Expectation is the hard path. What we expect others to do or say and what we expect from ourselves is always a painful struggle. Even if we reach this expectation there is always a longing for something more.

Intention is the path I recently started to travel down and has been the most rewarding. By letting go of our assumptions for the future we can embrace who we truly are in the present moment.

EQUALITY

Edition 137

We are all born into this world as pure love. Then things change. Choices must be made and through our choices society teaches us that two cannot be equal. One must be better than the other one.

My question is why can’t two be equal? All beings walk the same earth and breathe the same air. We all have unique strengths and weaknesses. We all are going to suffer the same fate at the end of our lives.

It is my desire for all beings be happy and free… but equality feels like a dream that can never truly be achieved.

As you look at this edition, think about these two questions:
1) Is equality possible?
2) If so, how can we create it in our daily lives?

GRATITUDE

Edition 136

I chose to take a different path. One that was taken before, but isn’t easy to find. You can get lost easily and there will be many creatures waiting in the darkness… But I just had to do it… I had to walk this path. And the more I walk down this path looking for the abundant light at the end of it, the more I become aware as to how I am already the abundant light which illuminates the darkness.

EGO

Edition 134

We have on average about 70,000 thoughts per day... that's roughly one each second! This constant flow of energy in the mind will never stop, but instead can be directed towards either the positive or the negative.

Ego is a person's sense of self-esteem and self-importance. It is a natural tendency for the ego to present ourselves as we want to be... instead of as we actually are.

To resolve this, I humbly remove my inflation of ego to find the inner core of the soul that carries each heartbeat forward. Lately I have been meeting my dreams with the true reality of what I am doing to fulfill them. When you give the ego a taste of humble pie, it becomes more authentic over the long term.

I have found through my journey that my ego will never go away. However, what I can do is build a positive and honest relationship with the thoughts I think. To give myself compassion and understanding for every step I take. I wish the same for you.

WORTHY

Edition 133

I want to talk about something that I have really been noticing over the last few hundred people that I have been teaching how to rock balance…

There has been an overlying theme that most people really doubt themselves and don’t see themselves as worthy. Worthy of love, worthy of following their ideas, or worthy of simply having a voice.

Through the power of technology I have also seen this so many times when people will engage with my work online and I can see the doubt even in the way they write their words.

If you are looking at this Edition I just want to tell you that YOU ARE WORTHY. All of your previous failures have led you to this moment and what you do with this moment is entirely up to you. You can either continue to tell yourself “I can’t” or you can start telling yourself “I can” and start to really see that beautiful gift that is already inside of you.

I know this sounds like motivational bullshit but this really isn’t. This is something that I have seen thousands of times… when the spark in someone’s eye ignites because I got them to easily balance a rock in the most difficult way possible.

All of my imperfections are what makes me perfect - just like you. I hope that if you ever want to come out to San Francisco I can show you how to do this in person (link in profile). However, if you’re on the other side of the world I hop that I can be a catalyst for you to truly believe that YOU ARE WORTHY.
